Speaking to GameSpot microphones during the recent PAX West, Hajime Tabata has revealed that the next installment in the Final Fantasy series, as the fifteenth, will open world.
“It’s hard to say now whether the entire game will be based on an open world, but I’d say the overall experience that users have been playing in a huge area, the overall experience is something that we will be in the next project,” explainedgame director.
Tabata added that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild can be an example for the development team at Square Enix, since it’s a game “very complete”.
“It is very refined, a near-perfect game from that standpoint. Our goals are probably take that experience that players have tried to Breath of the Wild but with our technology and our expertise. Is in our possibilities make a quality game very,very high with such a strong visual element and creating a very immersive world. “
