The CEO of Helldivers 2 seems to have lost hope: «I’m waiting for the sun to come back»

The decision to make the PSN mandatory also for PC players of Helldivers 2 will probably be remembered as one of the most unpopular choices of all time: despite the controversy and the consequent review bombing of users, Sony does not seem to have any intention of doing an about-face on the matter.\r\nWith a sensational gesture, the PlayStation company has in fact decided to remove Helldivers 2 from sale in over 100 countries: all those areas where it is not legally possible to create an account on PSN.\r\nDespite the hopes of the Arrowhead team, Sony’s decision seems clear and adamant: to continue playing it will be necessary to connect a PlayStation Network account.\r\nSteam is already proceeding with refunds for all users affected by this highly questionable decision, but in light of the latest developments now even the authors of Helldivers 2 seem to have lost hope.\r\nThe CEO and creative director of the service game (find the PS5 edition on Amazon) has in fact published a new post on his profile is deeply troubled by this story:\r\n\r\n«Waking up with yesterday’s sun, replaced by a sad drizzle and shivering winds, made me reflect on how I spent my time in those rare moments when everything was perfect.\r\nAnd yet, rain is essential for growth and is what turns spring into summer. I just have to wait for the sun to come back.”\r\n\r\n\n\t Waking up to the sunshine of yesterday replaced with a dreary drizzle and shivering winds makes me reflect on how I spent my time those rare few moments when all was perfect.Yet rain is essential to growth and is what changes spring into summer. Although in all likelihood the Helldivers 2 community will never be the same again.
