As discovered in a job offer discovered by Gamasutra, Moon Studios , the team behind the Ori series and the upcoming Ori and the Will of the Wisps, is working on a action RPG .

Founded and led by ex-artist Blizzard Thomas Mahler, Moon Studios is an Austrian software house known for the franchise born as an Xbox One exclusive and then also landed on PC and Nintendo Switch.

The studio is looking for a senior designer for a title that aims to “revolutionize the ARPG genre” ; it will have to be a person who “has a love for everything related to Diablo, Zelda, Dark Souls and other games in the genre”.

This “RPG aims to innovate and go beyond what the genre has offered to the players so far”, for which the impression is that the ambitions are considerably higher than in the saga of Ori, brilliant but nevertheless collected in mechanics and dimensions.

Moon Studios is currently independent, although having a close collaboration with Microsoft is not part of the Xbox Game Studios; a cross-platform future is not to be excluded.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps has recently been postponed to 11 March 2020 and is expected on Xbox One and PC.
