PS5 Pro is a name that has bounced around the web several times, but so far there have never been any official confirmations, while in this case the technical specifications of what should be the now classic hardware update of the current generation have emerged of consoles.\r\nIt is IGN US that verifies the validity of this information, revealing the potential of the console that Sony plans to launch during the fourth quarter of 2024, apparently.\r\nAccording to the information that has emerged, the main improvements would concern the CPU, which is claimed to be identical to that of the base model PS5 but with a high-frequency mode. According to estimates it could be equivalent to a 10% increase in current capabilities up to 3.85GHZ.\r\nAnother enhancement should be implemented on the GPU, which would allow details on the screen to be rendered faster, with higher quality ray tracing powered by 33.5 teraflops, against the 10.28 of the PS5 base model.\r\nThe detail of the rendering speed had already emerged from previous information, while we learn that the PS5 Pro would have an upscaling and antialiasing solution called PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution Upscaling), an architecture of customized machine learning and an accelerator enhanced by artificial intelligence.\r\nRegarding other features, PS5 Pro would have a removable disk drive and 1TB of storage space inside the hard drive.\r\nAt this point we await confirmation Sony official regarding PS5 Pro, but so far no details had emerged that were so… detailed and close to what could actually be the configuration of the PlayStation 5 update (the basic model of which you can find on Amazon, soon perhaps also on lowered price).\r\nAll this while Sony is definitely reviewing its expansionist aims on other hardware, such as PlayStation VR 2, which seems to have been set aside for the moment given that there are still stocks of the models already produced to be disposed of.
