Metal Gear Solid V, Skull Face without scars will make you doubt

Whether you love it or hate it, Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain is the latest chapter in the saga created by Hideo Kojima , released several years ago: despite this, not bad curiosities about the game continue to emerge.

The fifth chapter of the franchise is a game of a thousand shades, also thanks to the numerous characters that are the background to the main story.

After all, in unsuspecting times, fans have been clamoring for a Kojima’s Cut of the game, which includes the various segments cut from the final version.

Right now, we have to make do with a strange reference to MGSV in a promo image of the mysterious Abandoned .

Now, go Reddit , a user posted an image of Skull Face showing the character in its double version, ie with and without scars .

Appeared first in Metal Gear Solid V Ground Zeroes and later in Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain , the villain also connects to the events of Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater .

Featuring a horribly disfigured face, initially there were many who believed that Skull Face could be one of Big Boss’s old enemies believed dead, such as Vladimir Zadornov or Hot Coldman .

Among the hypotheses, also that about the fact that the villain was an alter ego of the protagonist, although in the end it turned out to be an unpublished character of Hungarian origin, with an unknown name.

As pointed out by some fans, the image showing him without scars brings to light an appearance similar to that of Nikolai Stepanovich Sokolov , first responsible for the creation of a nuclear mobile weapon (seen in Snake Eater ).

The theory, certainly suggestive, is in any case unlikely, since the story explains that Skull Face was reduced to this state by the troops who set fire to his village, disfiguring his face as if it were a skull because of the terrible burns.

In addition, the story also tells that his “transformation” took place at a young age: so why does the unspoiled appearance of Skull Face show that of a man in his forties?

Apparently the answer is simple: the artwork was created during a preliminary phase of development of MGSV , when the character’s name was still “ Wasp ” .

Over the months, Kojima has decided to turn the villain into the one we all know.

Did you also read that the creator of Metal Gear Solid is currently in contact with Microsoft for an Xbox exclusive?

And that some players would still have problems getting through a boss fight from the very first chapter of Metal Gear Solid , released on PSOne?

Finally, a few weeks ago Kojima indulged in some very interesting confessions about his early career.
