Final Fantasy VII: the Japanese edition was released 23 years ago

Final Fantasy VII is the now legendary Japanese role-playing game released on January 31, 1997 in Japan by SquareSoft for the then hugely popular first PlayStation .

Later, the adventure of Cloud, Barret, Tifa and associates also arrived on PC Windows and PlayStation 4 and distributed digitally through the PlayStation Network and Steam services.

More recently the title has seen the light also on Nintendo Switch consoles, as you can read for yourself in the game review.

This is, on balance, one of the most important chapters of the Final Fantasy series, as well as the first to be created with 3D characters on pre-calculated backdrops.

The PS4 remake will be released in April 2020. You have already seen the musical theme of Nobuo Uematsu and Red XIII in the new trailer of Final Fantasy VII Remake ?
