Square Enix explains the nature of episodic Final Fantasy VII Remake

The hottest news of the day is definitely the one who revealed the episodic nature of the remake of Final Fantasy VII, which will then be distributed to different parts by Square Enix. The news triggered numerous comments and some controversy, and various newspapers such as Famitsu, Polygon, and Kotaku, asked explanations to Yoshinori Kitase, producer of the game, and Tetsuya Nomura, director of the project. Incourse of several interviews, the developers then stated that the episodic publication is due to the fact that the contents are too generous for a single release, and the idea is so that preserve the enormous amount of work. Moreover, Kotaku reports that developers have pointed out that all releases “will have an enormous amount of content worthy of a single game, with a complete history”. The statement, however, is quite vague, because as we all know there are”individual games” in size quite a bit different, and we can not know what he meant by Square-Enix.
