When the Spanish developer MercurySteam announced his third-person shooter Raiders of the Broken Planet, many hoped that the game would soon be announced on Nintendo Switch.

Apparently, unfortunately, for now we do not talk about it. Spacelords (this is the new title of the game, starting August 23rd) will be launched only on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The director of the game, Enric à lvarez, explained why.

“We think Spacelords fits in the Switch catalog. I think Switch players would go crazy with a game like this, yet, you know what, we’re an independent, small developer Spacelords is self-financed and when we asked ourselves if we would have added Switch to the platforms that host it, we thought “oh, it would be a great idea, but maybe it’s too much for us … […] So yes, this game would be very interesting on Switch, but we simply do not have the possibility to convert it . “

à lvarez has also added that if things are going to be right in the future, a version for the Nintendo platform will be considered
