According to a rumor launched by Kinda Funny Games, it would seem that Resident Evil 2 and 3 Remake would have been initially planned as a single package.
According to Imran Khan, ex Game Informer, the original plans were skipped since it would have been “too much work for Capcom developers.
Resident Evil 2 was initially supposed to be ready a year earlier, “so they split them.” And that would be the reason why Resident Evil 3 would be ready for launch at the beginning of 2020.
“I think who worked on it for three years “, Khan said. ” It was part of that initial package originally “.
Project Resistance, now known as Resident Evil Resistance, would have been added as a multiplayer mode of the game so as to “justify” the close-up release of RE3 with respect to the Resident Evil 2 remake.
What Resistance was originally planned co me aside it was something we had guessed, since from the beginning it was presented as a stand-alone multiplayer project.
