Rage 2 will have “a social component”, as revealed by Tim Willits, boss of id Software, in a recent QuakeCon interview.

“We will have a social component but it is not your typical multiplayer”, so Willits will be on Eurogamer.net microphones.

“We are not yet ready to talk about it, but we understand that the community is important, and we understand that connecting with other players is important.

But there is no ‘classic’ multiplayer, so you will not be shooting with your friends because we feel we already have enough hours of entertainment for your money. We feel we have a good offer “.

And, with regard to content, there will be still others after the launch through free updates and other paid, as well as “some dynamic elements”.
