Public boom for the Pokemon Center in London

The Pokémon fever seems to be reaching new heights, ahead of the launch of Pokémon Sword and Shield on Nintendo Switch . As we reported in the past few days, a new Pokémon Center was opened in London, but it is literally being stormed by fans of the Pikachu saga and companions. For the fourth day in a row, in fact, the Center had to close early, to be able to dispose of the “unprecedented queues” that the fans were doing, waiting to enter.

According to the Westfield shopping center, which is hosting the Center, the queues have arrived at four / five hours every day – to the point that three times out of four have been closed already at 12 (preventing other people from getting in line ). On the remaining day, the queue was closed at 4pm – although the small themed shop is open until 10pm. This gives an idea of how large the rows were.

Moreover, such crowding means that some gadgets could quickly run out before everyone can enter. To try to avoid it, a purchase limit was placed for at most six items per customer – with the exception of Nintendo gadgets. Will it be enough to avoid sold-out and please everyone? Considering the length of the rows, it’s hard to believe. And the Pokémon fever seems, really, more alive than ever.
