It was 7 May 1999 and the first Matrix was released in Italian cinemas, forever changing the fortunes of sci-fi cinema with cyberpunk colors.
This is the film that launched the Wachowski brothers (now sisters) in Hollywood’s Olympus, giving way to two sequels and a series of successful transversal projects (including comics, video games and official short films).
The interpretation of Keanu Reeves , in the role of the protagonist Neo, has become over the years a point of reference for the heroes able to “dodge bullets” with the now famous Bullet technique Time.
It has been rumored for some time that there is a reboot of the Matrix series, although at the moment Warner Bros. has not yet formalized it (and perhaps it is even better this way).
Did you see the first chapter of the movie saga in 1999 or did you recover the film only in more recent times?
