Miyazaki, who in recent months has made it known who is for him the best boss in the history of the software house, in fact talked about the post-Elden Ring future, and he did so with a clear understanding of the facts.

In an interview with Famitsu, Miyazaki stated that he is particularly honored with the Users’ Choice award, as chosen directly by the players.
The Japanese newspaper asked Miyazaki why he thought Elden Ring had been such a commercial and critical success, and he replied that he wasn’t trying to pay too much attention to the reasons, just in case. that this distracted him from his goal of creating more unique games, in the style of developer FromSoftware.
“I can’t understand why the game has been so successful, but my feeling is that I don’t intend to change the way I’ve done things in the future”, Miyazaki said.
“I try not to think about it too much, because it could become a distraction when I make the next project. However, I am very grateful and I feel honored».
The director said he has the same opinion when it comes to user feedback. “Personally, I try not to look directly at user comments,” he said.
“This is because I can’t listen to all the users’ opinions. I’m afraid that if I did, the voices and opinions I hear would have a strong influence on my future decisions, so I’m careful not to insert other opinions directly into my mind.”
Miyazaki went on to say that he doesn’t feel that FromSoftware’s status has changed due to the success of Elden Ring and that he simply continues to make the games he wants .
