Has the director of the Zelda movie ever played The Legend of Zelda?

The film of The Legend of Zelda is undoubtedly a long-awaited but also dangerous project in equal measure, and if director Wes Ball doesn’t even comment on his favorite game it is normal to be even more worried.\r\nThe film will be produced by Nintendo and Arad Productions Inc. and directed by Wes Ball, the director of the Maze Runner trilogy and next year’s Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. The project will be co-financed by Nintendo and Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc. and financed more than 50% by Nintendo, as originally announced.\r\nObviously there are many questions about the project, and IGN US has at least tried to understand what they are the director’s favorite video game. With poor results, as you can see in the short below:\r\n\n\t Wes Ball, the director of the live action Zelda movie, on his favorite Zelda game: pic.twitter.com/g2bjToy0Ph— IGN (@IGN ) May 9, 2024\n\n\n \n\r\nWhen asked what his favorite game from the Legend of Zelda saga is, Wes Ball stalled and then didn’t answer.\r\nThis raised some doubts in the community, and also in us honestly, given how projects like this are usually accompanied by very enthusiastic stories about the reference video games.\r\nJust think of the Fallout TV series by Prime Video, which became a total success after it was broadcast, whose production was started due to Jonathan Nolan’s project driven by an all-encompassing passion for the saga, Fallout 3 in particular.\r\nFollowing the spread of this video, gamers began to have doubts about whether Wes Ball is the right person for the film project of The Legend of Zelda. Afterwards, Ball made another short statement complete with photos and stands of Tears of the Kingdom in plain sight:\r\n\n\t Relax guys. I’m one of you. I’ve just learned from a wise man; when it comes to Zelda, best to say nothing as things just get misinterpreted.(But judging on these comments, that’s probably gonna happen no matter what… sheesh) pic.twitter.com/MLUY1560zO— Wes Ball (@wesball) May 10, 2024\n\n\n \n\r\n«Relax guys. I am one of you”, says the director to the community explaining the reason for his silence when asked by IGN US: \r\n\r\n«I just learned from a wise man; when it comes to Zelda, it’s best not to say anything because things get misinterpreted. (But judging by these comments, it will probably happen, no matter what… wow)»\r\n\r\nIt must be said that Wes Ball has said on other occasions that he is a great player, so we don’t than waiting to see some images or trailers of the film, given that there are already ideas and even ideas for a sequel.\r\nIf Wes Ball were to recover some video games from the saga, he can do so via Amazon, where he finds all the games at the best price.
