The folks at 343 Industries have released details of two new maps that we will see in Halo 5: Guardians: the first, to the Arena mode, called “The Rig”, while the second, for Warzone, is “on March Stormbreak”.
We propose below the translation of the official details released by the team:
“The Rig
The original inhabitants of Meridian have enjoyed the temperate climate and fertile land of the moon for decades. But, when the Covenant arrived unexpectedly, in 2551, the impressive world population and the robust economy were bent, and came to the brink of extinction. Now, still clinging to the ghosts of trade, mining platforms like this scraping away what remains of the world’s surface – a tragically futile attempt to resurrect the ancient opulence and splendor of the colony. “
As regards the second map, however, it has been specified as follows:
“March on Stormbreak
The mountainous area of Stormbreak is part of the backbone of Kamchatka, and was put in place thousands of years ago thanks to the powers of the Forerunner, similar to those of a god. Immediately after the discovery of Kamchatka, the UNSC has set in motion a plan to establish a military and a power station, as well as check out the sites of Forerunner in the planet. “
