Metro Exodus: A movie compares Raytracing in real time and Rasterization

Last month 4A Games announced that Metro Exodus would support real-time raytracing with NVIDIA RTX. The software house will use the NVIDIA libraries for both environmental occlusion and Indirect Lighting in real-time complete and PCGamesHardware has published an interesting video in which we can see, despite being captured directly from the monitor and not then directly, the difference between rasterization and raytracing.
Despite this, it is possible to see how the use of raytracing does not produce any artifact and shows decidedly more realistic scenes.

Recall that Metro Exodus is currently also developing for Sony Playstation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One and its release is scheduled for next fall. Find all the news and articles related to the product in our card.
