Bad news for fans who were waiting to get their hands on the Collector’s Edition of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 . With an official note, in fact, Nintendo announced that the latter will have to undergo a major revolution due to logistical reasons .
The result is that you will not be able to have the Collector’s Edition before September and that, for this reason, it will be remodeled and proposed without including a copy of the game . In this way, Nintendo explains, everyone will be able to play Xenoblade Chronicles 3 (you can book it on Amazon) from day-one by buying the title separately , without waiting for the arrival of their Collector’s Edition in September.
The news will come a bit like a cold shower for collectors, who rarely like Collector’s Editions without a copy of their game.
In the words spread by Nintendo on its official website:
“Due to some logistical difficulties, we will not be able to open pre-orders for the Collector’s Edition of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 before the game’s launch date, July 29 . We apologize for the inconvenience.
To give users the opportunity to purchase the game right away and start playing the game as of its release, we will be offering the Collector’s Edition content (artbook, steel case and illustrated packaging) separately for a price that doesn’t will include Xenoblade Chronicles 3 software ».
We plan to open pre-orders for Collector’s Edition content (without the game) in September.

According to this strategy, players will be able to pre-order their Collector’s Edition from July 29th, which will have a cost adjusted based on the absence of the game in the package , then receiving these extras during the month of September: “all users will have the opportunity to play Xenoblade Chronicles 3 to launch on July 29, and to pre-order the Collector’s Edition content on My Nintendo Store in September » explains Nintendo, in the note released for gamers.
However, another tweet (you can see it above) talks about opening of pre-orders even in September and not on day-one. In short, there is enough confusion, but it is certain that we will not see the Collector’s Edition at launch.
If you are interested in this box and want to stay updated on when the pre-orders will be open, please note that you can find a form at this address where you can leave your contact details with Nintendo, in order to receive step-by-step communications.
Recently, another Collector’s Edition has made a lot of talk about itself, having sold out due to the touts (who immediately tried to resell it at crazy prices) and being a proposal without the game in physical format, but only in digital copy: it is that of God of War: Ragnarok , even if in that case Sony’s choice is linked to the existence of PS5 Digital.
Regarding Xenoblade Chronicles 3 , however, our Gianluca Arena told you about the hot impressions after the first few hours spent on the game. The 29th July debut on Nintendo Switch is getting closer and we are waiting to find out if it will conquer audiences and critics like its illustrious predecessors.
