The video gamers who use Xbox tend to experiment with a significantly greater number of titles than their colleagues on other platforms, according to an analysis conducted by Ampre Games Analytics in August 2025. This trend reflects a change in the way the players approach the consumption of videogame content, with important implications for the gaming industry. The data reveal substantial differences in game behavior between the main digital platforms.
Statistics show that Xbox users played on average 5.7 different titles during the period analyzed. Steam positions itself in second place with an average of 4.5 user games, while PlayStation records the lowest value with 3.7 titles, with a 38% difference compared to the Microsoft platform.
This disparity in consumer behaviors does not seem to be related to the quantity of content available. Paradoxically, PlayStation Plus offers almost double the games compared to Game Pass: about 1,000 titles against just over 500. Despite the large catalog, PlayStation subscribers demonstrate a lower propensity for exploration.
