Xbox One introduces Dolby Vision support for streaming content

The 1810 update, available for Insider members, introduces support for Dolby Vision for streaming video content on Xbox One.

The Dolby Vision standard, an alternative to HDR, is already supported when present on Blu-ray discs, while this novelty regards the contents used by apps like Netflix.

The feature only affects Xbox One S and Xbox One X, and not the basic model (the original Xbox One available in black).

At the same time, with the update preview 1810 the Avatar, recently brought back to life by Microsoft, also arrive in the dashboard, where they will be visible both our and those of our friends.

Moreover, the update allows, in some limited cases, to decide which exact statistics to share with friends in relation to a title in your library.

Expect to see it available for everyone in a few weeks.
