The structure of Xbox Game Pass is very similar to that of Netflix , with a catalog of digital products to be used through a subscription.
Microsoft’s subscription service has greatly changed the perception of video game distribution, imposing a new model .
But, despite the similarity between the Xbox service and the streaming giant has always been rejected by Redmond, there is no doubt that many have at least thought of it. p>
Also because one of the latest Xbox Game Pass news seems to be “the Netflix of video games” , and it was announced some time ago.
This is a family plan, with which Xbox Game Pass subscribers can share the benefits of the subscription with a group of family members, just like with Netflix.
For now there was no confirmation on the arrival and operation of this family plan , at least until today via Xbox Wire .
Starting today Xbox Insider users will be able to preview the aforementioned plan which, as reported by the official sources: “allows more people to share the benefits of Game Pass Ultimate” .
However, this is not only a test dedicated only to a small group of users , but also in some specific areas of the world.
The Xbox Game Pass family plan is in fact available in preview only in Colombia and Ireland , the first markets in which Microsoft will begin experimenting with this new service.
There is no information on when the evidence will be released in other areas of the world or, of course, when the family plan will come publicly for everyone.
An initiative that would further change the cards on the table in comparison with PlayStation Plus , a service that has changed a lot over the years.
Which was made fun of by Microsoft itself, which wanted to make clear the differences between the two services.
