World of Warcraft Classic has a release date

Blizzard has announced that World of Warcraft Classic will be available starting August 27th, of course for PCs.

The game will be included in already existing World of Warcraft subscriptions and will provide its content in stages, in order to guarantee a progression similar to that of the original.

While there will be bug fixes and lighting, textures, patterns and stories will remain the same, given Blizzard’s desire to use the client as a sort of archive of the legendary MMO.

The developer will also propose a collector’s edition to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the original launch, with a statue of Ragnaros included.

Players attending the Battle for Azeroth event that will be celebrating the anniversary, soon available, will receive a Deathwing mount and the Onyxia pet.
