Yet more bad news has arrived for the video game industry in recent hours, which after having also said goodbye to Tango Gameworks has now seen the announcement of the closure of Galvanic Games, the studio that had recently created Wizard with a Gun .\r\nThe game, which in that case found publication by Devolver Digital, did not record sales strong enough to sustain the studio for future productions, which is why founder Patrick Morgan announced the closure.\r\n n«It is with a heavy heart that I announce the closure of Galvanic Games» he wrote in an official note shared on LinkedIn. «Despite the promising debut of Wizard with a gun, sales are not strong enough to support our studio.\r\nThe past year has been particularly difficult for video games. While we’ve had numerous encouraging conversations at DICE and GDC, the process of getting new projects signed, even in a good year, takes more than we have left.”\r\nMorgan highlighted the sadness of having to shut down the team which he tried to build for ten years after the best year he had, underlining the great uncertainties of the current videogame market.\r\nWe hope that the talents of Galvanic Games, who with Wizard with a Gun had impressed us with their creativity , may they soon find a new job and new serenity.
