Uncharted has landed on PC with the Legacy of Thieves collection, featuring the latest adventures of Nathan Drake on other platforms.
Not before having also made a switch to PlayStation 5 of course, with a dedicated version that you can buy on Amazon at the best price.
A version that obviously made Nathan Drake next-gen for the first time , also thanks to the latest updates added to the game.
And after landing on PC (which we talked about in our review) it is normal to think about if, and when, other Uncharted will also be able to land on the platform.
The answer can only come from Naughty Dog who, as Dualshockers reports, explained what could happen with the old Uncharted on PC.
Christian Gyrling, vice president of Naughty Dog , elaborated the thought regarding PC port of the PlayStation saga.
The old Uncharted weren’t ported to PC first because would have required a thorough overhaul , to keep up with the times with modern PC games and the expectations of players for a port.
Upgrading Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy was much easier because they were developed in modern times anyway. While PC gamers may find themselves confused to realize that they are starting with the “wrong” Nathan Drake, there is apparently no solution:
“While Nathan Drake’s first three adventures from PlayStation 3 still stand the test of time narratively, they would require a major visual overhaul to stand up to modern PC releases and the expectations gamers might have.”
Gyrling goes on to point out that PlayStation 5 will continue to be the center of attention of the studio, but are now more geared towards the option of a PC port should the need arise.
But in the end, is Uncharted better on PC or console? The verdict can only come from the inevitable video confrontation that you can retrieve at this address.
