Waiting for Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, here is the 8-bit demake of the first chapter

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of the absolute masterpieces of the saga, a title well known among owners of Nintendo Switch consoles (and Wii U).

Waiting to discover – finally – the news related to the official sequel, generically called Breath of the Wild 2 , fans are indulging themselves with more or less original creations, inspired by the latest adventure of Link in the fantasy world of Hyrule.

Now, fan-created demake project shows us what The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild would look like if it were released on Nintendo’s glorious 8-bit handheld console , or the Gameboy Color .

A video of the game was posted to YouTube by Ohana Studio, a single person team who previously released a Zelda inspired game in perfect GBC style called “The Tides of Time”. Just below, the video (via GR +):

Fans of classic series games like The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening will be overwhelmed by a wave of nostalgia when watching this video, which shows Link fighting beasts, hunt wildlife, collect new weapons from fallen enemies and slice bushes (for rupees).

Unfortunately, however, this surprising demake of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on Gameboy Color is currently not playable : the creator is keen to release the game, however, disconnecting it from the official Nintendo brand (so as not to face legal headaches).

Hopefully, a similar fate is not reserved for Bloodborne ‘s surprising PSOne demake, which seems to be heading towards completion.

Finally, remember that the Zelda series celebrates its first 35 years in 2021: to celebrate the event, in July this year it will see the light is the remaster of Skyward Sword for Switch.

As for the highly anticipated sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild , unfortunately there is still some patience (although the news will arrive in the coming months of the year).

If you want to enjoy this and other upcoming Mario House titles you will need a Nintendo Switch: you can buy the console at an advantageous price on Amazon Italy.
