Uncharted, the movie: leaves director Dan Trachtenberg, comes PlayStation Productions

There seems to be no peace for the Uncharted film, which finds itself again without a director after Dan Trachtenberg left the project.

As Deadline reports, however, the abandonment of Trachtenberg – of which we do not know the reasons – would not worry that much, and Sony would be willing to find a replacement already by the summer.

Filming has been scheduled for the beginning of 2020 and it is with that time window in mind, set the commitments of the star Tom Holland who will be a young Nathan Drake, who is still working.

A new, and presumably good, piece of news is that according to Deadline the Uncharted movie would end up under the umbrella of PlayStation Productions.

This entity was founded, you will remember, last year to allow Sony to directly develop TV series and movies based on PlayStation intellectual properties.

If nothing else, a guarantee of fidelity to the original material, as far as we know that the last script on the table is not a direct adaptation of video games.
