Silent Hill 2 Remake was a success, despite initial skepticism, but there is someone who wants to recreate the original experience of the Konami title complete with fixed cameras, but they need help.\r\nAs reported by DSOGaming, in October began shooting a video that imagined what the remake of Silent Hill 2 would look like with fixed camera angles, as an homage to the fan-favorite original title.\r\nTo make the video in question, its creator Enveloping Sounds used the Universal Unreal Engine 5 Unlocker FreeCam mod. This is just a concept video, and not a mod that can be downloaded, unfortunately.\r\nSomeone took up that idea and further developed the concept, with a new version of Silent Hill 2 Remake with fixed cameras, and the project it really looks of great quality.\r\n\r\nThe scenes were made by Rising Tides using the current version of FreeCam, but the author expressed the desire to develop a real mod with fixed camera angles, but at skills are currently lacking of programming needed to do so.\r\n«I’m just a 3D character animator», explains the author: «I’m not a programmer and this project will never reach its full potential without help.»\r\nRising Tides has declared that he wants to collaborate with other modders to realize this project, if you can help him “understand how Unreal Engine works” you can contact him to bring this mod to life during 2025.\r\nThis work reminds us a lot of what has been done with Resident Evil 2 Remake, which was similarly imagined with fixed cameras and is very fascinating: that’s it.\r\nBut if you like the normal Silent Hill 2 Remake you can buy it on Amazon at the best price, and enjoy what has been done from Konami with this great gaming classic.
