For years one of the most underestimated objects of the Mario Kart series was the feather, but apparently the time has come to re -evaluate it seriously.
In Mario Kart World, the new Open-World iteration of the famous Nintendo Racing (and which you find on Amazon), the feather is gaining a new reputation, and could become your next ace on the sleeve.
The feather, returned after its appearance in Super Mario Kart, allows the player to perform a quick jump, useful for grinding on high walls and surfaces. But according to what has been discovered and shared on X by Lonelygomba, there is another decidedly more strategic use: if used with the right timing, feather can dodge red shells.
In the movie that has become viral, Lonelygomba shows how, in a tight race situation, it manages to jump over a red shell on the way, completely canceling the damage.
So far it was thought that only objects like the horn or banana could defend reliably from that attack, but this discovery changes everything.
“We owe apologies to feather,” comments the user ironically. I can only agree. In a game where every second and every curve they count, discovering such an effective use for a mistreated object is a small revolution.
The feather will no longer be just a funny scenic jump: now it is a defensive resource not to be wasteful lightly. The next time I am fishing it, I will treat her with the respect she deserves.
Staying on the subject, Mario Kart World players for Nintendo Switch 2 have discovered a particular method to quickly unlock all the karts and motorcycles available in the game: read here.
But not only that: always Mario Kart World has also recently increased the maximum number of players to 24, leading to a much more frustrating online competitive experience. The details to this address.
