The farewell of Henry Cavill to the TV series of The Witcher is still causing discussion, since they are new details have emerged about the actor’s departure from the Netflix show.
Cavill will return to take on the role of Geralt of Rivia for the last time, on the occasion of the third season, again inspired by the The Witcher franchise (which you can also find on Amazon in the beloved third chapter).
Liam Hemsworth will take his place from Season 4, a choice that still today creates more or less heated disagreements on social media and beyond.
Now, after an “embarrassing” clip surfaced online that allegedly showed why Cavill, there are other rather nasty details about the initial casting.
As also reported by Gaming Bible, in fact, in an article published by Vulture before the first season of The Witcher aired , showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich revealed that Cavill had her agents keep pestering her for a meeting before she even started writing the script. p>
“It was really annoying”, Hissrich explained at the time. “At the end I said, ‘I’ll meet you.’ The series is not greenlit. There is nothing”. And I said, ‘Thank you. Now I have to go write the series’».
Cavill also explained her story from her point of view: «It was something that I would not have let slip without doing my best . I’ve been bugging my agents the whole time. They said: ‘They’re not ready'”.
Although 206 other actors were considered for the role of Geralt, it became increasingly clear that Cavill was the right man. After all, it emerged that Cavill could have stayed on board the project for 7 seasons, which is not much.
