Christmas on the Continent? Almost, because The Witcher 3 in its next-gen version promises to revive the world of CD Projekt Red.
The masterpiece of the past generation of CD Projekt Red, which you can always find on Amazon, is in fact about to be polished up for the current generation of consoles. p>
The final confirmation arrived a few weeks ago, complete with the release date and details of the substantial update dedicated to the current generation consoles.
Which are even more greedy, looking at least at the improvements that will be included in the renewed PC version of The Witcher 3.
We know you like comparisons (we like them too), and since it’s the Christmas holidays, why not go to the Skellige Islands?
In The Witcher 3, the Skellige Islands are an archipelago which is part of the Northern Kingdoms. The group of six islands is located in the North Sea, off the coast of Cidaris and Verden, northwest of Cintra.
In the short stories and early novels, the culture of this archipelago is similar to ancient Irish culture, but from the books The Tower of the Swallow and The Season of Storms to the games, there was a shift to a more Scandinavian setting.
Which, as CD Projekt Red showed on Twitter, looks like a real tourist destination in a next-gen version:

On the left you can see a screenshot of the Skellige Islands of The Witcher 3 in the PlayStation 4 version, while on the right you can find the decidedly more satisfying PlayStation 5 version from an aesthetic point of view.
If you want to go on a vacation to these islands, being careful of the monsters, however, you just have to update your copy of the game starting December 14, and it will already seem like a very different thing.
But that’s not all: in conjunction with the 15th anniversary of the release of the first The Witcher game, CDPR announced a few days ago that The Witcher Remake is currently in the works and has shared the first details about the project.
