The (unofficial) Zelda film has all the magic of the saga

While Nintendo and Sony work in the shadows on their ambitious live-action film adaptation of The Legend of Zelda, fans are not watching. In fact, we remind you that a film made through a partnership between Nintendo and Sony Pictures Entertainment is in the works .\r\nIn the meantime, a group of enthusiasts is trying to bring Hyrule to life with the Lost in Hyrule project, a live-action fan-film that promises to offer an alternative conclusion to the saga of the legendary Hero of Time (via NL).\r\nLost in Hyrule takes place after the events of Ocarina of Time (which you can find on Amazon) and Majora’s Mask, exploring what may have happened to Link and Zelda after the end of these iconic adventures.\r\n n\r\nAccording to the project’s Kickstarter page, this is “the unprecedented conclusion to the Hero of Time saga”, enriched with elements of lore designed to fascinate long-time fans.\r\nThe director, Chris Carpenter, not only leads the creative direction, but also stars as Link. At her side, in the role of Zelda, we find Avi Lake, known for the A Series of Unfortunate Events series. Zelda will be a central element of the plot, described as «a driving force in this film».\r\nThe Lost in Hyrule team has launched a campaign to raise 30 thousand dollars, entirely dedicated to the production of the film. With a month until the end of the campaign, the project has already reached a third of its goal.\r\nThe teaser trailer released accompanies the crowdfunding launch and shows a world that, despite not having the means of a large production, seems to promise passion and attention to detail.\r\nThe team has also published a presentation video that delves into the plot and offers a taste of the atmosphere that the film wants to recreate, including flashbacks involving Link as a child.\r\nThe authors of Lost in Hyrule they have undertaken to respect any legal requests from rights holders. It remains to be seen whether they will be able to complete the film without running into copyright issues, a common challenge for fan-film projects based on such famous IPs.\r\nSpeaking of fan-films, have you seen the evocative Cyberpunk 2077 project?
