The United Kingdom wants to invest in the world of eSports. The British Government has conceived, and supported, the tournament eGames: players from all over the world are invited toparticipate and compete in various challenges. The winners will get a medal but no cash prize, as happens in the Olympics. Some countries have already signed up and these include, apart from the United Kingdom, Brazil, the United States and Canada. The first event will take place in Rio, during the Olympic Games, and will run for two days, hoping to encourage a greater number of players.
