Star Wars will have many video games in the near future, and one of them will be the work of Ubisoft Massive, authors of The Division.
The last generation looter shooter whose first episode (find it on Amazon) was a watershed for the genre, was a massive production for the team.
Ubisoft’s Star Wars Massive was even announced almost two years ago, and since then nothing has been seen about the project.
If not a little progress made by sharing some details about the project, which however remains very obscure.
But today some news arrives, although not extreme or revealing, because Ubisoft Massive is clearly carrying out the project.
As VGC reports, in fact, the development team is actively looking for playtesters for their next Star Wars game.
With a call to arms made on the developer’s official website, which you can find here, Massive is gathering players to test its next product.
Massive has specified that it will give priority to people who live near its studio in Malmö, Sweden, for obvious reasons related to the convenience of travel.
However you can apply from all over the world, but with the awareness that you will eventually have to move to Sweden, of course.
Definitely a positive sign although there is still no real information about the game, other than the last words of creative director Julian Gerighty:
«We want to make it a unique game in the saga with a captivating story and a set of characters that players can relate to and connect with. We want to take what’s familiar and resonant about Star Wars and tell the stories of new characters who have their own motivations and interests.”
The ambition is very high, but Star Wars fans want to know much more.
In the meantime, they can console themselves with Star Wars Jedi Survivor which made its epic return at the latest The Game Awards 2022.
As regards The Division, however, the franchise is returning with a very particular chapter: here are the details.
