Paramount and SEGA have apparently found the formula for success, because the Sonic franchise at the cinema has exceeded one billion dollars in total box office receipts.\r\nAccording to data from Box Office Mojo, Sonic the Movie 3 has grossed approximately $280 million globally. By adding the results of the two previous films, namely Sonic the Movie with almost $320 million and Sonic the Movie 2 with $405 million, the franchise has officially surpassed the billion dollar mark in total box office receipts.\r\nThinking about how the film franchise was doing to start with, that is, with Ugly Sonic becoming a public case in the world of entertainment, it is truly absurd to see how much the film saga has managed to grow in just a few years (and you can find it on Amazon).\r\nSonic the Film 3, which recently arrived in cinemas all over the world and from January 1st also in Italy, immediately proved to be another success, beating all the other films of the period at the box office.\r\nFor for this reason, the production of a fourth film has already been confirmed, complete with a release date foreseen in a summary manner by Paramount for now.\r\nWe are faced with one of the most successful videogame transpositions ever, not long since say. Thanks to Jim Carrey who was able to capture the public and bring it to the cinema, and who could still return if there are the conditions to do so. Paramount and SEGA are certainly ready to go on for a long time to come. The post credit scene of Sonic the Movie 3 showed this clearly to us, and after the numbers recorded by the film it is unthinkable that companies do not want to capitalize further with other products.\r\nAt this point it will be interesting to see what rival Nintendo will do with his films, after the Super Mario one already released (also a great success) and above all the highly anticipated one of The Legend of Zelda.
