Netflix has long ago decided to approach the world of video games, so much so that from today the new live action show dedicated to Resident Evil .
Leaving aside classics like Resident Evil 4 (found on Amazon ), the series in question is set several years after the canonical events of the franchise.
In our review of the first four episodes published just a few hours ago we explained that if we already had low expectations, the final result is unfortunately even worse.
Now, however, as reported on ResetEra , it’s time to pull the sums and find out if you liked the series overseas or not .
On the well-known review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes at the moment the Resident Evil series has a mediocre 59% (out of 17 reviews posted), with an audience score of just 36% (out of 36 public comments).
Note that only the GameSpot portal has decided to praise the Netflix work inspired by the survival horror franchise Capcom.
In the review, the editors say that this is the best adaptation of Resident Evil and that overall it’s a very well made and fun product.
The most negative aspect of the work is that the suspension of disbelief to incorporate the canonical events of the video game series was a rather arduous undertaking on the part of the writers, with results entirely questionable.
