Palworld is the game of the moment at least until the new game of the moment arrives, and it is also because of the great similarities, tributes, and sometimes outright plagiarisms, that the Pocketpair title has collected and shown in the last 72 hours .\r\nThe most obvious are obviously those towards the Pokémon games (including the latest ones you can find on Amazon), but Palworld certainly wasn’t just inspired by Nintendo’s creatures.\r\nSome of the Pals are inevitably very similar to the most famous collectible creatures in the world, as demonstrated by the attention that fans of Pokémon have paid to find all the similarities.\r\nAs soon as the title was shown there was immediate talk of blatant plagiarism of Pokémon, and obviously we went back to do it now as soon as everyone has been able to see what Palworld is actually made of.\r\nHowever, although it is clear that Palworld has copied and/or taken inspiration from titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Ark: Survival Evolved, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus among others, it seems that Nintendo and The Pokémon Company cannot do much in legal terms.\r\nWe have all wondered, actually, how Palworld came to be sold : the reason is that it defends itself perfectly in terms of copyright.\r\nAs Kotaku reports, in fact, Pocketpair has worked carefully to be able to publish the title without problems.\r\nThe company’s CEO, Takuro Mizobe, has explained in a recent interview that Palworld has overcome all legal hurdles necessary to avoid possible copyright infringement. So much so that, until now, no one has taken legal action against Pocketpair.\r\n”We make our games very seriously,” said Mizobe: “We have absolutely no intention of infringing the intellectual property of other companies.”\r \nObviously Mizobe said that Palworld draws a lot of inspiration from the Pokémon games, as it was a «great predecessor», but he clarified that it is not very similar to Nintendo’s iconic IP, in the end, and that it is more like a survival game like the aforementioned Ark: Survival Evolved.\r\nWill the latter be the one to sue Palworld in the end? We just have to wait for yet another twist.\r\nThe success of Palworld will certainly tend to increase in the future when it comes out on PlayStation 5, which for now does not host the game of the moment.
