The opening ceremony of Italy at the Olympics chooses Kingdom Hearts

The opening ceremony of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics is currently being held. Italy obviously took part in the event too, thanks to the presence of a very large delegation.

The various national teams are parading for the ceremony and apparently the video game is the absolute protagonist of the event, thanks to the choice of including some famous music tracks from successful titles.

Thanks to a list that appeared on Twitter a little while ago it emerged that the soundtracks of Final Fantasy, Nier and Kingdom Hearts , the latter “touched” by the Italian national team.

The adventure of Sora, Mickey & Co. has in fact become trendy on Twitter in record time , showing a certain interest for the thing from audiences around the world.

As they point out on social media, there is a small mistake: for Nier the track “Initiator” was not used but the song called “Inishie no Uta”.

As regards Italy and the musical theme taken from Kingdom Hearts , it is specifically the song “Olympus Coliseum” , heard in the first chapter of the series in the animated world of Hercules.

A little further down, you can admire for yourself the moment in which our national team entered the scene at the Olympics, to the notes composed by master Yōko Shimomura .

The other Japanese video game sagas chosen for the opening ceremony are many: ranging from Sonic to Monster Hunter , passing through A c and Combat, Tales of, Winning Eleven, Phantasy Star and even Gradius .

In short, we have chosen to pay homage in the best possible way to some of the most important videogame sagas from the Rising Sun .

If you are a lover of other Square titles, we remind you that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is available on PS5 from June 10, 2021 (if you want to know more, read our review).

But that’s not all: fans of the series will be able to get their hands on an episodic mobile version of the adventures of Cloud and associates, as well as a specially created battle royale.

Finally, have you also read that the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster , a compilation containing some classic chapters belonging to the series, could also be released on unexpected platforms?
