The study of Mafia III will show its new game “in the coming months” , as revealed in a call with shareholders and analysts by the president of Take-Two Interactive Karl Slatoff.

We have known for some time that Hangar 13 is working on a new intellectual property, although we are not given what it is.

“Maybe it will be a single player game, maybe not,” explained development manager Andy Wilson last year.

Anyway, it will be something totally “different” from Mafia III in terms of tone. “The subject (…) has weight and is mature”, even if not as regards the rating, and there are “strong characters “.

There is persistent talk of a new cooperative IP, built in the style of a game as a service, which would focus on a group of superheroes.

Originally, the publisher Take-Two Interactive was pitched for one Mafia 4, but this would have been discarded.

Not only Hangar 13, however: the new studio led by the ex Sledgehammer Games Michael Condrey will also show its project in the coming months.

The team does not yet have a name and is known for now as 2K Silicon Valley , from the location where the staff resides; presumably, we’ll find out more at the reveal.
