Fans are eagerly awaiting the HBO series on The Last of Us, which promises to to reconcile fans of the original game and beyond.

The show will tell the story of the first chapter (which you can also find in the recent remake on Amazon), resulting in all respects faithful to the video game Naughty Dog.

In the past few hours, the new official poster has shown a truly extraordinary care regarding the final result, so much so that the fans didn’t go unnoticed.

As ​​noted by fans, the new poster is in fact identical to that of the game, if it weren’t for a single detail that certainly has commercial value even before its graphics.

Looking at the poster, the references to Naughty Dog’s original masterpiece appear particularly evident, especially if you take into consideration the setting and the pose of the protagonists.

It is also true that, looking closer, Joel and Ellie in the TV series poster appear reversed compared to the PlayStation video game poster.

The choice of reversing Joel’s position (in the background in the video game poster and in the foreground in that of the TV series) is apparently simple.

Probably, the production decided to give more prominence to Pedro Pascal, an actor who has gained a lot of visibility in recent times, compared to the young Bella Ramsey and her Ellie (however an actress weight, thanks to the participation in Game of Thrones).

We remind you that the The Last of Us series will arrive during 2023: in Italy the series will be broadcast by Sky and its streaming service Now TV.
