In a statement published today, Monday, March 8, Washington-based developer V1 Interactive thanked those who supported him during his five years of activity, announcing the final closure .
«We are sorry to inform you that V1 Interactive is officially closing its doors» , reads the release (via VGC ). «We want to thank all the talented people in the group, past and present, who have contributed to making the last 5 years wonderful. And a big thank you also goes to the amazing community that supported us ».
Company founder Marcus Lehto, Known for co-creating the Halo franchise with Bungie, he said via Twitter that he decided to announce the closure at a different time in advance, in order to give his 30 or so employees the chance to find a new job .
«In V1, our priority was the well-being of our employees» , wrote Letho. «We have been transparent with them on the state of affairs for months and are making this decision now so that they still have plenty of time to look for new jobs, while being supported by our studio.»

V1’s debut game, Disintegration (released for consoles and PC in June 2020) hasn’t been too warmly received by critics and the public (on Gameshift on game had convinced us only partially, as you can read in our review published at the time).
In November last year, the developer shut down the game’s multiplayer servers, signaling a lack of interest from players.
We remind you that Halo Infinite will be released later this year on Xbox Series X | S consoles and PC platforms (at the moment no precise release date has been announced).
