2023 certainly didn’t make itself desired, in terms of great video games arriving on the market, and 2024 tried to respond blow for blow as best it could.\r\nAs you may have noticed, in fact, the release calendar this year too is remained very rich, with some highly anticipated releases that have already arrived on the shelves, such as those of Tekken 8, of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, of Dragon’s Dogma 2, of Black Myth Wukong or Star Wars Outlaws.\r\nIf we were to put together a ranking of the best games by average rating in 2024, what would it be like now, a few days before the final The Game Awards for which we have already discovered the nominations?\r\ nWe decided to try to answer by offering you a statistical data: we have drawn up the ranking of the best games by average rating, according to the aggregator Metacritic. Among the big releases, it is above all Final Fantasy VII Rebirth that has stood out, but also Tekken 8.\r\n\r\nThe strongest message, however, is sent. probably Astro Bot, a platformer so beautiful and full of ideas that it seems to have landed among us directly from the golden age of the genre. And the debut of Metaphor: ReFantazio was simply sensational.\r\nPlatforms side, in the top 15 we have:\r\n\r\n6 games reviewed on PS5;\r\n7 games reviewed on PC;\r\n2 games reviewed on Switch.\r\n\r\nWe’ll see how the final weeks of the season go year and if the TGA will reward a little the same games already appreciated in the reviews.
