The most awaited moment of the year for Pokémon’s competitive community has finally arrived: from 15 to 17 August, the Anaheim Convention Center (California) will host the Pokémon 2025 world championships, with the best coaches ready to challenge each other in Scarlet Pokémon and Pokémon Violetto for Nintendo Switch, in the Pokémon collectible card game, in Pokémon Go and Pokémon and Pokémon and Pokémon Add. At stake, a total prize pool of 2 million dollars.
For the first time, the event will also be visible to the cinema: the world final will be broadcast live with technical commentary in Italian at the Notorious Cinemas in Sesto San Giovanni (MI), during an appointment dedicated to the community to be held from 17:00 to 4:00 on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 August, and from 22:00 on Sunday 17 for the final act. 
On the videogame front, the challenges will take place according to the Regulation I format, the latest evolution of the competitive on Scarlet and Violet Pokémon (here our review). The 2025 edition also marks an epochal change in qualifications: access no longer depends on achieving the minimum threshold of Championship Points, but is reserved for the best players of the regional rankings and the finalists of the most prestigious events of the season.
For Europe, only the first 75 players of the season have torn the pass for Anaheim, including several Italian names: Luca Ceribelli (World Champion 2024), Marco Silva (winner of the Latin American international championships), Federico Camporesi (first to the International North America) and other top players such as Francesco Pio Pero, Ruben Gianzini and Flavio Del Pidio, all in the European Top 16.
After the triumph of Honolulu 2024, which reported the world title in Italy after eleven years, there will be over 25 Italian coaches ready to challenge the best on the planet with the aim of reconfirming the roof of the world.
