Microsoft also renews the Free Play Days initiative this week, offering subscribers to Game Pass Core, Standard and Ultimate (you can find them on Amazon) the opportunity to try a selection of titles for free for the whole weekend, from 17 to 20 July 2025.
The absolute protagonist of the lineup is Skull & Bones, the ambitious Pirate title of Ubisoft released in 2024, flanked by four other games ranging from agricultural roguelite to sci-fi.
Here are the titles included in the initiative this week:
Skull & Bones
Destiny 2 (with all free expansions until 22 July)
Atomicrops
Blades of Fire
Breakout Beyond
The most visible name is therefore undoubtedly Skull & Bones, which in recent months has had a sort of rebirth, thanks to a series of updates and balances that have improved the game experience, making it more accessible and dynamic. This is the ideal opportunity to get at the helm, face the waves and find out if pirate life is for you, without paying a penny.
The inclusion of Destiny 2 is even more generous: in addition to the basic game, all the expansions are playable for free until July 22, a separate but complementary initiative at the Free Play Days, designed to bring new players closer before the launch of the next great update.
For those looking for something more alternative, Atomicrops offers an original roguelite experience where vegetables must be cultivated … and defend yourself from armed mutants, all with a psychedelic visual style.
Blades of Fire and Breakout Beylond complete the list, proposing respectively fantasy fights to lateral scrolling and a narrative adventure with a futuristic style.
All the games present in the initiative are on a discount during the weekend, with Atomicrops discounted up to 80%, and the other securities included in the large summer promotion currently active on the Xbox store.
For those curious, it is the perfect time to try, without obligation, something new. And if a game conquers you, you can take advantage of the discounts to add it to your library at a reduced price.
And on Xbox Store the special offers officially started, with discounts up to 90% on many video games: we see the best discounts.
