The Nintendo Switch is certainly doing very well in terms of markets, so that the analyst NPD Mat Piscatella, expects the console will have much success in the coming year, especially if the big N will launch the new game dedicated to Pokémon that Nintendo has officially announced a few months ago, but without revealing the name, which could mark a sea change for the series.
Piscatella has indeed laid down hisopinion on the Resetera forums, stating that Switch is “able to exceed the 20 percent in the first 10 months of Wii sales.” In addition, he explained that from a demographic point of view and to use, Switch doesn’t look like a Wii console “core gamer” more like the GameCube.
Piscatella, also mentioned that the release of Pokémon next year could push the console not only beyond the goal achieved by Wii, but also take it easy on 40% market sharehardware sold in 2018: “If the new Pokémon will come next year, we can easily see Switch overcome Wii.”
