This is the last weekend in which players will be able to play with the active servers of Nintendo Wii U and 3DS which, in a few days, will be turned off forever: obviously the chapter of Super Smash Bros released for the platforms is back in trend.\ r\nNot that the series hasn’t been popular on other occasions, such as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (you can find it on Amazon) which was a disaster on Nintendo Switch, but this revival weekend comes at a very particular time.\r\nNintendo will in fact close the online features for 3DS and Wii U starting from April 8, as previously announced, and players have taken advantage of these days to let off some steam.\r\nAs reported by IGN US, in fact, fans of Smash 4, as the community calls it, returned to the beloved fighting game in its final days of online play and took to social media to share their favorite memories from that era.\r\n\r\n”Each game has its flaws and Smash 4 is no exception, but damn it was fun to play”, commented a nostalgic fan sharing a gameplay clip.\r\nAmong nostalgia-driven re-evaluations, social media filled with Smash 4-themed content to remember how this chapter of the series was all in all more important than expected.\r\nSuper Smash Bros was the first chapter of the series to arrive on a portable console, i.e. 3DS, complete with dedicated game modes and some dedicated characters.\r\ nAs for Nintendo, it was also the moment in which the company cleared additional content even more, given that many extra characters arrived in the roster with important collaborations, between Bayonetta and Final Fantasy with the witch of the same name and Cloud Strife, among the many.\r\nAs the funeral procession continues, in Nintendo’s Q&A the company confirmed that players will still be able to use features and game modes that don’t require online functionality.\r\nSpeaking of reenactments, instead, in the last few days even fans of Super Mario Maker have been busy, accomplishing a truly epic feat.
