You will certainly remember Star Wars Eclipse , the title announced by Quantic Dream inspired by the most famous science fiction saga in the world.

The idea that the authors of Detroit Become Human could have something to do with such an important universe as that of Star Wars is definitely galvanizing.

The title was announced during The Game Awards 2021 , with a trailer that captivated all fans of the George Lucas saga.

That Star Wars Eclipse would have come a long way we had already guessed, because Quantic Dream has no small difficulty to replenish its workforce .

And, despite the time since the announcement, things don’t seem to be improving for the development team, quite the contrary.

According to the report by Tom Henderson , usually a very reliable source, Quantic Dream is still having difficulty in hiring staff for Star Wars Eclipse .

Via xFire , Henderson revealed further details about how the title’s development is on the high seas .

Already at the time of the announcement, the report had explained how, according to its sources, the title would not be released before 3-4 years from the announcement. So roughly in 2025.

Subsequently, Quantic Dream was at the center of some scandals regarding misconduct in the workplace. Stories that have led many professional figures to leave and, consequently, a difficulty in hiring new ones due to the same scandals mentioned above.

Even today, it seems the development team is struggling to recover the lost workforce. According to some job offers that appeared online, published by Quantic Dream, there are roles that are vacant , and whose work process is therefore stopped still today.

Hence the idea that, given the expected 3-4 years of development , the title may not be released before 2026-2027 . A new confirmation of what Henderson already claimed months ago, before having recovered further evidence.

Something similar to what is also happening in Ubisoft which, due to similar problems related to recently emerged scandals, had to block the development of some of its IPs .
