For too many days, Russian troops have attacked Ukraine from Belarus and Crimea, sparking a conflict that led to dramatic consequences even in the world of video games.
Among the stocks that have suffered from the situation there is also S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 (or Stalker 2 , available for pre-order on Amazon) postponed until a later date due to the conflict .
In March, GSC Game World studio released a short video explaining the consequences of the war on game development.
Now, on the occasion of the extended Xbox + Bethesda Showcase , we could take a look at the first minutes of the game .
Sarah Bond also took the opportunity to praise the work done by GSC Game World for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 , in order to celebrate one’s own culture.
According to Bond’s words, this was an effort that led to an even deeper impact on light of the War in Ukraine .
A trailer showing the Ukrainian team’s behind-the-scenes work also highlighted the dramatic consequences of the Russian invasion on the lives of developers, forced to relocate following the war (unfortunately, not all team members were able to leave. the country).
The postponement to 2023 has also been confirmed, as well as the launch (obviously) on Xbox Game Pass. We just have to wait for an exact release date as soon as the situation is over.
