GSC Game World, developer of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, has released patches 1.01 and 1.02, addressing over 650 bugs and improvements in the game.\r\nThese updates arrive just one week after the launch of the title which also landed on Xbox Game Pass (find card on Amazon), accompanied by several reports of technical and performance problems from players.\r\nThe patches, available for PC and Xbox, aim to improve various aspects of the game, with the patch 1.01 which represents the major intervention.\r\nPatch 1.02, more contained, is dedicated to correcting specific bugs linked to six main missions, preventing players from remaining stuck in the progression of the plot (via The Gamer).\r\nThe updates concern:\r\n\r\nArtificial intelligence: improvements in enemy and NPC behavior;\r\nOptimization: general game performance;\r\nAudio and sounds: fixes and balancing;\r\nCombat: balancing mechanics;\r\nInput via gamepad: greater responsiveness and precision;\r\nMain and secondary missions: resolution of progression blocks;\r\nFacial animations and voice acting: improvements in visual rendering and sound;\r\nGame world: greater stability in interaction with the environment.\r\n\r\nDespite initial problems, the debut of Stalker 2 proved to be a commercial success: the game sold over a million copies on its first day, without considering the many players who are exploring it via Xbox Game Pass, where it has been available since launch.\r\nGSC Game World seems determined to keep its promise of continuously improving the game, consolidating the experience for fans of the saga.\r\nIt is also true that in the first hours after launch the fans thought about fixing the game with the first unofficial fixes.\r\nIn our review we explained to you that « despite a very long time gestation, a damned war and the transition to a new engine, the hybrid coined by GSC Game World represents the team’s best product to date, as well as the most ambitious and vast.”
