A new video published by youtuber Nick930 with over fifty thousand views takes stock of the status of the Splinter Cell series after the failure to announce the E3 2018.
The absence of Sam Fisher at E3 has already been addressed by the CEO of Ubisoft Yves Guillemot, although in a very vague way as it had been the rest of the previous year.
According to Nick930, the transalpine publisher’s show was already full of hits and the Splinter Cell presentation may have been reserved for another date.
Moreover, the stealth would be a genre and a type of mechanics now mixed with many other different productions, and therefore, having lost its original relevance, one would be thinking of a way to reproduce it in style.
From a financial point of view, Ubisoft would be in no hurry to launch a new chapter, since the current portfolio is already making good profits.
The youtuber is however quite confident about the possibilities that Fisher will return in a couple of years, since the original voice actor, the actor Michael Ironside, would not be called into question only for a mission on Ghost Recon Wildlands, and the development would have already started at the Toronto and Montreal studios.
