Sony donates $5 million for the Los Angeles fire: «The home of our business»

Since January 7, Los Angeles County has been plagued by a fire of gigantic proportions which is unfortunately claiming many victims and Sony has decided to do its part by sending a donation to the Los Angeles Wildfire Relief.\r\nAs announced on the profile company audience, Sony has donated $5 million to support first responders, relief and reconstruction efforts, and assistance programs for those affected by the wildfires currently ravaging Southern California.\r\n«Los Angeles is was there home of our entertainment business for more than 35 years,” said Kenichiro Yoshida, president and CEO of Sony, and Hiroki Totoki, president and COO, in a joint statement:\r\n\r\n”We will continue to collaborate with local business leaders to determine how Sony Group can best support relief and recovery efforts in the days ahead.”\r\n\r\nThe fire started on January 7, and a week later three more fires continue to spread destruction in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.\r\n\r\nAccording to news agencies in the last few hours, 24 people have died and 23 are still missing in the two main fire zones, and firefighters are preparing for a crucial day with the return of stronger winds.\r\nSony is obviously not the only one to have supported an area that is the home of entertainment for the company’s multimedia products (you can find them on Amazon).\r\ In the last few days too CNBC, Disney, Netflix and Comcast have made donations in support, as have the NFL, Walmart and Fox.
