Sonic Frontiers is finally out and, between ups and downs, continues to update and want to offer content to players.
The SEGA title, which you can still find discounted for a few hours on Amazon among other things, has unfortunately become famous above all for negative aspects.
Neither does the definition that SEGA has given the game help, a “global playtest” that will improve after user feedback.
Despite this, SEGA does not want to abandon the game in any way and while the classic updates arrive, recently the roadmap with many free elements has been announced.
The Japanese company has in fact announced, via Twitter, the additional contents that will be launched from now and throughout 2023.
SEGA has stated that it plans to release three DLCs for free, and while it has been teased that there may be changes, there are already details.
The first update will include a photo mode, a juke box and new challenge modes. The second update will include “Sonic’s Birthday”, an Open Zone Challenge, and the new Koko. The third update will add new playable story content and playable characters.

Considering that free DLC is increasingly a rarity in this historical moment, Sonic Frontiers will certainly have positive support from fans because of this initiative.
Which, at least, will not be forced to try to transform it into Death Stranding in order to find new stimuli to play and will be able to do it normally like everyone else.
On the other hand, despite all the problems and controversies, Sonic Frontiers has always set a sales record in Japan, resulting in the game that sold the most quickly of the saga.
And it also dominated Black Friday by surprise, together with the Xbox Series X, proving that if nothing else there was interest in seeing what this new adventure of the most famous hedgehog in video games.
